This unnamed copper prospect is near Bethany, Connecticut. Historically the site has been part of the Woodbridge Mining District. The Unnamed Copper Prospect was closed at the time of data entry with no known plans to re-open. Production size when active was considered to be small. The ore mined is composed of chalcocite and malachite. The mineralization at this location is from the Upper Triassic epoch 237.00 to 201.30 million years ago. The New England Upland Section of the Appalachian Highlands characterize the geomorphology of the surrounding area.
