This unnamed copper prospect is near Cheshire, Connecticut. Historically the site has been part of the Cheshire Mining District. The ore mined is composed of pentlandite, marcasite and pyrrhotite. The mineralization at this location is from the Upper Triassic epoch 237.00 to 201.30 million years ago. The New England Upland Section of the Appalachian Highlands characterize the geomorphology of the surrounding area.
