The Hodges Nickel And Sulfide Prospect is in Torrington, Connecticut. Historically the site has been part of the Torrington Mining District. Mine operations consist of workings of unknown type. There is one known shaft. The ore mined is composed of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pyrite with waste material consisting primarily of quartz, sphene and biotite. The mineralization at this location is from the Lower Devonian epoch 419.20 to 393.30 million years ago. The New England Upland Section of the Appalachian Highlands characterize the geomorphology of the surrounding area.
