Mine Overview

The Kreuger Property is near Twin Bridges, Montana. Historically the site has been associated with the Tidal Wave Mining District which is now part of the Beaverhead National Forest. The Kreuger Property was closed at the time of data entry with no known plans to re-open. Production size when active was considered to be small. The ore mined is composed of sphalerite and galena with waste material consisting primarily of quartz and sericite. The ore body extends 0.61 meters (2.00 feet) in width. The host rock in this area is gneiss from the Neoarchean era 2.80 to 2.50 billion years ago. The Northern Rocky Mountains physiographic province of the Rocky Mountain System characterize the geomorphology of the surrounding area.
